When will I die? Crazy questions I get asked

As a psychic and a medium, I'm used to being a bit...well...weird...hell, I alter my state of consciousness in order to work and I talk to the dead FFS! so working in this particular industry attracts people with....peculiar...outlooks and interests.

When I do a private reading, I start out by asking if my sitter has ever had a reading before. If yes, I explain how I work. If no, I explain to the best of my ability how readings work.

I'll usually start of by talking about the feelings I am picking up - that allows me to tune in to the energy of the sitter. By doing this, I am able to facilitate the connection to their loved ones in spirit. I may spend the majority of the reading tuning in to the energy of my sitter and do a psychic reading.

I may spend the majority of the time reading mediumistically - that is, I tune into the spirit world and connect to one (or many) loved ones who are recognised by the sitter and they provide the information for the sitter.

I invite questions towards the end of the reading: "is there anything I haven't covered that you would like me to?", "is there anyone in particular you would like me to connect with?" are my two most common questions. The responses occasionally surprise, stun and in some rare cases, alarm me...here are a few questions I have been asked:

  • When will I die?
  • Will I get cancer?
  • I see my oncologist next week, will I be diagnosed with cancer?
  • I believe that I will die in 16 years time, who should I make executor of my Will?
  • Will my children die before me?
  • What is the name of the demon who has been stalking me?

I've listed just a handful of the many questions I have been asked, these being by far the most concerning and alarming.

My response to questions such as these is normally along the lines of "God/our higher power is the one who decides our fate, it is not for me to even speculate on what, when, why and how". On one occasion, I was essentially harassed for days by a person demanding to know answers to their particular question - I refused to engage with them on the subject and felt that I made it clear that it would be unethical to provide any kind of reading or speculation on such a serious matter.

It frustrates me that anyone would even think it appropriate to ask such questions - if I were to give guidance psychically or mediumistically, how would it affect a persons life? to have 'inside information' about their lifespan, health outcomes or similar...what if I am wrong? or even worse, what if I am right?

As a psychic and medium, I take very seriously my role/position and how information during a reading may be taken. Often information is provided to me by way of symbols and how it makes me FEEL. I may see, for example, a house burning down inside my head - this could mean an actual house burning down or it could be symbolic of challenges/changes within the household.

I truly believe that it is completely unethical for a psychic or medium to provide readings on topics such as serious health matters, lifespan and major life events. Whilst we all know we will die someday, some of us will find ourselves dealing with significant life events and illnesses and other serious issues, it is important to understand that whilst a psychic or medium may give some guidance, some healing, some reassurance, it is equally important to appreciate that we are only human and we are not God, nor do not have God-like qualities (no matter how good we are)!
