Boundaries and Expectations

I do not use fear

I will not tell you that you are cursed, surrounded by dark entities or carrying a dangerous attachment.

I will not tell you that someone you love is trapped, lost or waiting to be sent into the light. I will not suggest that you need to pay me for spiritual protection, cleansing or some other supernatural intervention.

My understanding of the spirit world is not based on fear. You should not leave an experience with me frightened that something terrible will happen unless you purchase another service or follow a spiritual instruction.

I do not tell you how to live your life

A psychic reading may help you understand your current circumstances, consider a different perspective or recognise something that needs your attention.

It is not my role to make your decisions for you.

I will not tell you whether to leave a relationship, accept a job, buy or sell property, invest money or make another significant life choice. We can explore what a situation means for you, but the decision remains yours.

I also do not offer fixed predictions about a future that has supposedly been decided on your behalf. Your choices, circumstances and the choices of other people can all affect what happens next.

Your agency matters more than any prediction.

I do not read other people without their consent

I do not offer psychic surveillance of partners, former partners, family members, friends, employers or anybody else.

Questions such as “What is my ex doing?”, “Does this person secretly love me?” or “What is my manager thinking about me?” ask me to enter the private life of somebody who has not agreed to participate.

I may be able to explore how a relationship is affecting you, what you are experiencing within it and what choices are available to you. That keeps the reading centred on the person who has actually consented to it.

I also do not approach strangers in supermarkets, social settings or online to give them an unsolicited reading. Having an awareness of something does not automatically give me permission to share it.

I do not guarantee a particular communication

Mediumship cannot be controlled or ordered in advance.

I cannot promise that a particular person will communicate, that they will answer a particular question or that they will say the sentence you are waiting to hear.

You are welcome to bring your hopes to a private reading, but arriving with a test that must be passed can make it harder to recognise communication that unfolds differently from what you expected.

At an Evening of Mediumship or private group reading, I cannot guarantee that every person will receive an individual communication. These are shared experiences, and the number and nature of the communications will vary.

I do not pretend when something is not working

I will not fill time with vague statements, force information to fit or invent meaning because silence feels uncomfortable.

Sometimes information may not be recognised immediately. Memories differ, family members know different parts of a person’s story and something may make sense only after the reading. It is also possible for information not to be recognised at all.

If I am uncertain, I will say that I am uncertain. If a private reading is not working, I will acknowledge it honestly rather than pretending otherwise.

I would rather tell you that I have nothing than give you something I do not believe is genuine.

I do not present psychic information as mediumship

Psychic and mediumistic work are different.

When I attune to you and discuss your life, the work is psychic. When I communicate with somebody in the spirit world, the work is mediumship.

A reading may naturally contain both, but I will explain when I believe the focus has changed. I will not present information about you as evidence that I am communicating with someone in spirit.

You deserve to understand what kind of work is taking place.

I work within the limits of my role

I am a psychic and evidential medium. I am not a doctor, psychologist, counsellor, lawyer or financial adviser.

My work does not replace professional medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. I don’t diagnose physical or mental health conditions, prescribe treatment or tell you to disregard advice from an appropriately qualified professional.

If something arises that requires professional support beyond my role, I will encourage you to seek the right kind of assistance.

Mediumship and psychic work may be personally meaningful, but they are not substitutes for the practical care and expertise you may need.

Consent applies at every stage

You are allowed to ask questions, request clarification and say when something does not make sense.

You are also allowed to decline to discuss something or decide that you do not wish to continue. At public events, you may attend as an observer without volunteering to receive a communication.

I will also end or decline a reading when respectful boundaries cannot be maintained, or when someone is intoxicated or otherwise unable to participate meaningfully.

Consent and respect work in both directions.

Privacy and discretion

Private readings are treated with discretion. I will not use the personal details of your reading as social media content or entertainment without your clear permission.

As with any professional interaction, there may be rare circumstances in which a serious and immediate safety concern or legal obligation limits what can remain private. I will not make promises of absolute confidentiality that I may not legally or ethically be able to keep.

Finding the right fit

I am not the right reader for everyone, and I don’t need to be.

My approach is likely to suit you if you value plain language, personal responsibility, honest communication and the freedom to reach your own conclusions.

It may not suit you if you want guaranteed contact with a particular person, fixed predictions, decisions made on your behalf or confirmation of every spiritual belief you already hold.

There is no judgement in that. Different people want different experiences.

These boundaries allow me to approach the work responsibly while giving you room to remain curious, thoughtful and entirely yourself.
